Stitch-in-Time

The team link in with ‘Days for Girls UK’ which is a registered charity.

The Arnside team make and donate reusable hygiene kits to Days for Girls UK. These kits are sent to girls and women in developing countries and enable them to stay in school or work and not have to hide away during the time of their period .

We also knit and crochet blankets, hats and jerseys of all sizes to be distributed overseas in areas of need and also within the UK for refugees and others in need.

We meet at the Arnside Educational Institute on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month – except for August when we take a break, and in December and January when we only meet once because of the seasonal holiday.

Meetings start at 10am and finish at 3pm. Members come along and stay all day or some of the day. We are just pleased to have you with us for as long as you can be there
