Dallam Summer School August 2025

Dallam Summer School – 27th-29th August 2025

Dallam School are holding a 3-day Summer School from Wednesday, 27th to Friday, 29th August designed to help incoming Year 7 students build confidence, establish friendships and familiarise themselves with the school site and routines ahead of the new academic year.

The programme is also being offered to Year 5 students to further develop connections with our feeder schools and the wider community.

The Summer School will run in-line with a normal school day (8.50am-3.15pm) to provide a familiar structure and rhythm.

The day will be spilt into 5 sections covering creative, academic, physical and practical themes.

The cost is £30 per day, but there is a discounted rate for booking all 3 days of £75.

Students must bring a packed lunch. A snack and juice will be supplied at break.

Vacancy for Parish Councillor – Arnside Parish Council

Arnside Parish Council have a vacancy for a Parish Councillor. Would you like to get involved in helping make decisions about the local community? Helping to make changes that will improve the lives of local residents? Then this could be for you.

Parish Councillors are unpaid volunteers and there are no special qualifications required, although training is available for new councillors to help understand the responsibilities of the role.

Currently the Parish Council consists of eight councillors and three paid employees: Parish Clerk, Finance Officer and Cemetery Officer. The Council meets at least once a month and meetings may last around 2 hours.
