Local Housing Needs Survey
Look out for this important survey which will be sent to all Arnside households in January. It will help determine the need for housing for local people in our village.
It will ask about who lives here now and how you expect your housing requirements to change in the next five years – maybe your children will be setting up their own homes, or maybe you are looking for a house which is smaller, larger or more affordable or more accessible.
Please complete the questionnaire and return it in the pre-paid envelope to Action with Communities in Cumbria.
What Action with Communities in Cumbria say about the survey: “The survey will provide a snapshot of the needs described by the community and will create a picture of the homes we should focus on to meet those needs. Affordability is a key issue with many families finding it hard to make the moves they would like to locally because of the cost. The survey will get us thinking about whether we have the housing mix right here for people at all stages in their housing journey, from first rental or ‘starter-home’ to downsizing or more supported housing as needs change.
Please fill in and return the survey even if you do not have a housing need to tell us about. It helps us gather community views, as well as information about the needs we are currently meeting, which is also important.
