Arnside Helpways

Arnside Helpways Transport is a scheme run by volunteer local drivers, helping those unable to drive to attend medical appointments locally.

The area covered are: Arnside, Milnthorpe, Grange, Carnforth, Kendal, Lancaster and, occasionally, Barrow, Blackpool and Preston. There is a modest, not-for-profit, charge for each journey.

If you require transport, please telephone 07534 660667 and wait for the recorded message. Please leave the information requested and the driver will call you as soon as possible to make arrangements. Please give at least 2 days’ notice and avoid calls on Sundays if possible.

We are always looking for new drivers. If you are interested, please contact the Secretary, David Gee at wood.edge@btinternet.com (this address IS NOT to be used for requesting transport) and you will be send a short application form. There is no minimum commitment, and you are unlikely to be called upon more than once or twice a month.
