Sustainable Arnside Present a ‘Mini Eco Film Festival for COP30’

COP30 is the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference (Conference of the Parties) which will take place in Belem, Brazil from 10th – 21st November 2025.

The conference is a major event for global leaders where they negotiate climate solutions and focus on implementing the Paris Agreement.

Key themes will include:

  • Climate finance
  • Adaptation
  • Transitioning away from fossil fuels, and
  • Unique focus on the Amazon rainforest.

The ‘Eco Film Festival’ is a screening of a number of films to help our understanding of Climate Change Issues, and how we can possibily help.

In the evening, there will be a screening of the David Attenborough film “Ocean” (see below) which will have a £2 admission charge.

Films throughout the afternoon:

13:00 – ‘Utima’ (1hr 27 mins) followed by 15 minutes of discussion.

14:45 – ‘Thank You For The Rain’ (1hr 27 mins) followed by 15 minutes of discussion.

16.30 – ‘And Still it Remains’ (28 mins)

16.55 – ‘Dead as a Dodo’ (5 mins)

17:00 – ‘Until The Last Drop’ (20 mins)

Teas, coffees and cakes will be served in the afternoon.

19.30 David Attenborough’s ‘Ocean’ will be shown by Sustainable Arnside in collaboration with PEAT (peninsula, environment, action, together). The bar will be open. Tickets for this film are £2 per person (the afternoon films are free). To book, click here.
