One composer from 1600 seems to tower over his contemporaries. Monteverdi’s mini-dramas seem as powerful now as they must have done back then.
Come and see why as the acclaimed ensemble ‘I Fagiolini’, directed by Robert Hollingworth, looks towards its 40th anniversary with its favourite composer.
A concert of madrigals and motets, expect songs of hope, outrage, lamentation and peace, performed with clarity and passion by the voices of ‘I Fagiolini’, accompanied by baroque organ.
