Discover Sailing at Arnside

Arnside Sailing Club Discover Sailing Day

An opportunity to try out sailing at Arnside and see the village from the water. Sailing Club members will be taking people out from the slipway by the Albion and sailing across the estuary at high tide to give you a chance to try sailing at high tide.

The event, which is free is suitable for families, children and adults.

Booking is required to avoid disappointment. Please pick an arrival time slot and, on the day ,we will aim to get you on the water as soon as we can. Exact timing will vary due to tides, weather and boat availability. To book, click here.

Children must be accompanied by adults.

What to bring: Please wear clothing and footwear that you are happy to get wet. You might need to wade through the water when getting into boats. Footwear needs to stay on your feet – crocs, flip-flops and sandals are unsuitable, old trainers are ideal.

The Clubhouse and Bar in the Old Customs House on the promenade overlooking the estuary, will be open for refreshments and to give you and your family a chance to look inside and at the new Maritime Heritage display.

The Sailing Club also offers sailing and paddleboard lessons for adults and children. During the summer holiday we are running RYA Youth courses at Killington near Sedbergh for 8 year olds upwards
