‘Movement for Life’ – with Dr Mel Brierley

A gentle, supportive class designed for people living with long-term health conditions, stiffness, pain, or reduced mobility.

Through slow, mindful movement, breath awareness and guided exploration, Movement for Life helps you:

  • Reduce tension and discomfort
  • Improve mobility and ease of movement
  • Build awareness and confidence in your body
  • Discover ways to support your wellbeing in everyday life

The class also has a warm social atmosphere, with laughter, shared movement and time for chat and refreshments afterwards.

£10 per session to include refreshments.

Family members and friends are welcome.

Dr Mel Brierley

Arnside-based Dr Mel Brierley is a dance and health artist and a registered somatic movement educator with the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA). Through her somatic-informed, eco-embodied approach, Mel helps people reconnect with their bodies and improve health and wellbeing through movement.
A Churchill Fellow (2014) for the Arts and Older People, Mel is also a mentor, coach and trainer who specialises in supporting people living with long-term health conditions and neurological conditions.
