Arnside Maritime Heritage Display ‘Open Day’

Historically, the estuary at Arnside was the port for Kendal. The local Crossfield family built boats in Arnside and the Victorians came here to the seaside and held regattas on the estuary.

There will also be a presentation at 1pm of a half model of ‘Severn’ by David Moss, the boatbuilder who carried out the restoration of the Crossfield ‘Severn’, the Sailing Club’s historic yacht.

A Pop-up Cafe with teas, coffees and cakes will be onsite too!

The Heritage display will also be open on Saturday, 31st October from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
