Stargazing Evenings at Arnside Sailing Club

Find out about the night sky and how it changes over the year.

Steve Day, astronomy enthusiast and outdoor instructor, will guide you through the night sky. Learn about the different constellations and stars, their names, where they are in their life cycle and how many years they are away from us.

The evening starts with an indoor session before going outside to look at the night sky. If the weather is unsuitable for going outside Steve will project the night sky on the clubhouse ceiling so he can lead you through the galaxies and constellations.

Afterwards there will be a warming supper of baked potatoes. beans and cheese (included in the price).

Due to the popularity of the evenings, more sessions have been booked. The dates are:

• Thursday, 21st Jamuary 2027
• Thursday, 19th February 2027
