Pottery Course at the Arnside Educational Institute

The Pottery Course, run by Nicola Hunter-Dale, is a five week course, then a week break, followed by a further 5 weeks.

Classes are for all abilities and very flexible in people’s choices of making and creating. We tend to start with making flat pieces to learn some basic skills, that can then be transferred to bowls, cylinders and much more.

Most students tend do the 10 weeks to achieve the most skills, and then continue coming along to make a variety of more challenging pieces, or perfecting areas they wish to work on in more detail.

We tend to use plants or lace to imprint into the clay, which leaves a beautiful impression. These are painted and then fired. It’s very achievable for most abilities.

The next course will start February 24th until March 24th. The cost for the 5 week course is £125.
