Caffrey, McGurk & Madge

Tuesday afternoon folk concert with Caffrey, McGurk & Madge as well as singing from the floor by members of the audience.

Nick, Ed and Robin have been performing as a trio since 2015. They have a rapidly growing reputation in folk clubs and festivals in the UK and are renowned for their superb harmonies, sung acapella or with beautifully crafted accompaniment mainly on concertina, guitar and cittern.

Nick is considered one of the finest unaccompanied singers in the North West of England. Ed is a long-standing supporter of the Lancashire folk scene, whilst Robin is from Watchet in Somerset.

There will be a chance for members of the audience to sing from the floor before their two slots.

Soup lunches will be available.

12.30 Doors open with soup lunches available at £3 each

1.00 – 1.45pm Floor singers

1.45 – 2.30pm Caffrey, McGurk & Madge

2.30 – 2.45pm Interval

2.45 – 3.15pm Floor singers

3.15 – 4pm Caffrey, McGurk & Madge

The event is held in partnership with the Lake District Folk and Acoustic Club who run our monthly folk singarounds on the second Tuesday of each month during the winter.
