Summer Shinrin Yoku: Forest Bathing & Nature Connection on Arnside Knott

Summer Forest Bathing & Nature Connection

The Japanese practice of slowing down and being with Nature and forests supports mental and emotional health and wellbeing in a gentle way.

Shinrin Yoku can activate creativity, being so present and alive in your body, being heard and seen as you share (if would like) in a woodland circle.

Your nervous system is naturally regulated by the trees, the woodland and Nature, making this a healing experience without the need for words. Shinrin Yoku also lowers the stress hormone cortisol while promoting NK cells, part of our innate immunity, helping you to reduce the symptoms of stress, anxiety and fatigue.

Afterwards, you feel relaxed, at peace, and at home in yourself and body, while also experiencing more stillness. The experience feels therapeutic and soothing.

One session can help lessen symptoms of stress and anxiety, feelings of loneliness, sadness and fatigue, while supporting overall wellbeing, creating connection and belonging.

Please note: You will need to be able to walk on uneven ground, possibly up a slope depending on the route. There are no toilets at the woodland.

Cost: £33 per person.
