Metal Embossed Christmas Ornament Workshop

Arnside Highlights present this craft workshop to learn the art of metal embossing with artist Carrie Dennison, while creating a unique Christmas tree ornament. The decoration will be embossed on both sides, and will be created from aluminium.

You will be guided through the method of transferring the design to the aluminium, learning the techniques of metal embossing and how to add a finish to make it look aged. Your decoration will be finished with a splash of colour – as it is Christmas after all!

You will leave the workshop with one ready-to-hang Christmas tree ornament. Designs will be supplied or you can bring along your own. The finished bauble size is approximately 11cm at its longest point and 8.5cm at its widest point.

The Christmas ornament would make a wonderful hand made gift, especially if personalised for a loved one.

This is a half-day workshop and no experience of metal embossing is necessary, as you will be taken through all the methods to make your Christmas tree ornament.

The workshop will be 3 – 3.5 hours long.
There will be a break during the workshop.
Refreshments will be provided.
All materials will be provided.
Acrylic paint will be used that can stain clothes, therefore please wear something you don’t mind getting messy!
If you would like to bring your own design, maximum size 7cm wide x 4cm high
The metal embossed decoration is two sided, so can either have both sides the same or a different design for each side.
