Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever and rich is a self-proclaimed matchmaker who meddles in the romantic relationships of her friends. She thinks she knows best but in reality, wreaks havoc. Her misguided matches and romantic missteps eventually lead her to find love that has been there all along in plain sight.

A glittering satire of social class and the pain of growing up with plenty of romantic intrigue and gender politics. Certain liberties are taken with Austen’s original text to often hilarious effect, which just adds to the fun.

All the performances are excellent.
