Arnside Highlights present this opportunity to learn the art of needle felting with Claire Priestley of Teesdale Felt. This half-day workshop is perfect for both beginners and those wishing to refine their felting skills.
Using Corriedale, Merino and Wensleydale curly wool, Claire will guide you through the process to create a unique needle felted Herdwick sheep. These little sheep measure approximately 10cm high and stand on four sturdy legs. If you would like to adapt your sheep to create a favourite breed (for example a Swaledale), this is entirely possible.
A demonstration, individual tuition, all materials, tools and equipment as well as light refreshments, will be provided.
Important information:
Minimum age: 14 years (no younger as sharp, barbed needles are used)
The workshop will be 3 – 3.5 hours long. All materials will be provided and participants can bring a photograph of a favourite breed of sheep if they would like to use this.
There will be a break during the workshop, refreshments will be provided.
