Rachel Bodenham, a Sailing Club member, is taking part in Stages 7 and 8 of the Clipper
Round the World Race from Seattle to Portsmouth via Panama, Washington DC and Oban in the UNICEF boat. A total of 11600 nautical miles. She will be talking about the race, the selection process and the training..

Eleven 70 foot long ocean going yachts, all of the same design, are taking on the 11 month round-the-world race, which sets off from Portsmouth on 3rd August. They are due to arrive at Oban in mid July and at Portsmouth on July 27th
