A walk around Gaitbarrows looking at it’s geology with Mike Warren

Meet 10am at Challan Hall informal layby (SD 47505 76676; what3words ///left.safari.sparkles)

The route is about 7km taking in the track to Challan Hall Allotment, Back Wood, Landscape Trust reserves and a round of Gaitbarrows pavements and Haweswater. Note that limestone can be slippery when wet, please wear good footwear, e.g. walking boots.

In the interests of reducing our carbon footprint, the protection of habitats and landscape as well as limited venue parking, we encourage members to car share. No dogs are allowed on any of the walks except assistance dogs.
