Arnside & District Natural History Society Field Trip: ‘Fungi of Hay Bridge’

Meet at Hay Bridge Nature Reserve at 10.30am (SD336 876; what3words///conjured.cabbage.sticky)

We will have a short walk around Hay Bridge, less than two miles, with Helen Speed, to help with identification and hopefully Jim, the new warden.

We expect to spend about three hours there, so bring a packed lunch. We may picnic in a hide or closer to the centre, depending on the weather.

You’ll be able to have a walk around the reserve in the afternoon if you’d like.

Entry to Hay Bridge is free for members. Non-members are expected to make a donation on the day.

Society leader/Contact – Clare Shaw: 0782 786 7188

In the event of adverse weather conditions, please refer to the website on the evening before the trip for an update.

In the interests of reducing our carbon footprint, the protection of habitats and landscape, and limited venue parking we encourage members to car share. Anyone requiring transport or willing to offer a lift should use the Whatsapp group to find a match. If you would like to join this group, text Clare Shaw on 07827867188, giving your name and stating that you would like to join the group.

Please bring a packed lunch for field trips.

No dogs are allowed on any of the walks except assistance dogs.

Members and friends attend the field trips at their own risk and the Society cannot be held responsible for any accidents or incidents.
