Arnside & District Natural History Society Field To Caerlaverock WWT

A trip to Caerlaverock Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserve on the Solway Coast.

Meet at the reserve at about 11.30am (NY 05076 65645; What three words ///rehearsed.inherits.epidemics)

Leave Arnside 9.30am to arrive at the reserve about 11.30am. Please car share if possible, either making your own arrangements or using the Whatsapp group. Walk of about three miles, leaving about 3–3.30 for the return home.

Non-members of WWT pay £8 -9 (concession!)

We hope to see various waders, migratory whooper swans and barnacle geese in their thousands, and, with a bit of luck, yellowhammers.

Society leader/Contact – Steve Porter: 07480 254917

In the event of adverse weather conditions, please refer to the website on the evening before the trip for an update.

In the interests of reducing our carbon footprint, the protection of habitats and landscape, and limited venue parking we encourage members to car share. Anyone requiring transport or willing to offer a lift should use the Whatsapp group to find a match. If you would like to join this group, text Clare Shaw on 07827867188, giving your name and stating that you would like to join the group.

Please bring a packed lunch for field trips.

No dogs are allowed on any of the walks except assistance dogs.

Members and friends attend the field trips at their own risk and the Society cannot be held responsible for any accidents or incidents.
