Arnside and District Natural History Society Walk Around Beetham Park

A short walk around Beetham Park with Allan Pentecost, looking at lichens on the trees. Bring a hand lens or magnifying glass if you have one.

Meet 10am just outside Slackhead, where the public footpath leaves the road towards Hale (SD 49441 78626, what3words ///lime.crypt.insiders) There are several pull-ins for parking along the road between the turn-off at Slackhead and the public footpath. Please car share where possible and park sensibly, pulling well off the road and avoiding blocking gates or entries. We will finish by about 1pm.

In the interests of reducing our carbon footprint, the protection of habitats and landscape as well as limited venue parking, we encourage members to car share. Anyone requiring transport or willing to offer a lift should use the Whatsapp group to find a match. Please bring a packed lunch for field trips.

No dogs are allowed on any of the walks except assistance dogs.
